For a long time, washing the body was seen as potentially dangerous. However, modern trends and popularity cannot always be considered the best option. Until the end of the 19th century, people were advised to wash their hair no more than once a month. Later, decades later, the first synthetic shampoo was developed, leading to an increase in frequency to once every two weeks, and eventually daily shampooing became the norm in the 1970s. Likewise, the use of soap and daily showering became increasingly considered common. Not showering daily was seen as deviant behavior. In recent years, however, more and more people have moved away from the use of soap and shampoo, and reducing showering has even become a trend. What drives them to make this choice?
